We strive to make our website universally accessible, and we are continuously working to improve the accessibility of content on our website. Below, you’ll find a few recommendations to help make your browsing experience more accessible. If you have trouble seeing web pages, follow these tips for optimizing your computer and browser to improve your online experience.

If you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives, speech recognition software may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.

If you are deaf and or hard of hearing, there are several accessibility features available to you:

Closed Captioning

Closed captioning provides a transcript for the audio track of a video presentation that is synchronized with the video and audio tracks. Captions are generally visually displayed over the video, which benefits people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and anyone who cannot hear the audio due to noisy environments. Most of our video content includes captions. Learn how to turn captioning on and off on YouTube.

Volume Controls

Your computer, tablet or mobile device has volume control features. Each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device’s volume controls and your media player's’ volume controls to optimize your listening experience.

If the recommendations above do not meet your needs, please contact us for assistance by mail at Smile Focus, 25856 W. Hemingway Ave.

Dental Bridge

Do you have one or more missing teeth?
Then you may need to get dental bridges. Dental bridges are used to cover the gap that is created due to one or more missing teeth. A dental bridge consists of two or more crowns for the teeth on both sides of the gap and a false tooth or teeth in between. The false teeth in dental bridges are made of either gold, porcelain, alloys or a mix of these materials. Bridges need real teeth or dental implants for support.

Do you have missing teeth that you want to cover?
Make an appointment at Smile Focus today! We pride ourselves in our excellent patient care and outstanding staff who prioritize your health. Missing teeth can cause a myriad of problems and can even cause your other teeth to become crooked. Getting a dental bridge will enable you to chew and speak properly, will prevent your other teeth from moving out of place and maintain the shape of your jaw and face while restoring your beautiful smile. Depending on your oral health and the number of teeth you are missing, your dentist may recommend traditional bridges, cantilever bridges, Maryland bonded bridges or implant supported bridges.

Deciding to get a dental bridge
During your first visit your dentist will remove the enamel of the teeth surrounding the gap to make room for crowns on these teeth. An impression of your teeth will be taken so crowns, the bridge and false teeth can be made in a lab. Your dentist will fit a temporary bridge to protect your teeth during visits. In the next visit, your dental bridge will be fitted and the dentist will check the fit and your bite. The fitting may take more than one visit and the dentist may cement it in place if it is a permanent bridge.
